Gateway S1300 Features Pentium 4

The S1300, from Gateway Inc., is a professional desktop computer featuring the Intel Pentium 4 processor with 1.3 GHz speed.

It includes 128 MB of RDRAM; a 10 GB hard drive; an EV700 17-inch monitor; 16 MB AGP graphics; and a 10/100 Ethernet Network card. Optional features include a Microsoft Office Productivity Pack 1.0, and a CD-RW/Scanner pack.

NetVista A60 and A60i

IBM has released its NetVista A60 and A60i desktop PCs featuring Intel Corp.'s new Pentium 4 processor (1.3, 1.4, 1.5 GHz). Additionally, each unit offers a new combination CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. Both systems come with the Windows 2000 operating system; Creative SoundBlaster Live! card; three-piece speakers with subwoofer; hard drives up 80 GB; 56K modem or 10/100 Ethernet network cards; 64 MB NVISIA GeForce GTS Pro graphics card and 32 MB ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder card. The A60i also includes IBM's Rapid Access keyboard, and ScrollPoint III mousepad.

Intel NetBurst

Intel Corp. has introduced its Pentium 4 desktop processor, offering speeds up to 1.5 GHz. The chip's new Intel NetBurst micro-architecture offers: hyper pipelined technology that doubles the pipeline depth to 20 stages that increases processor performance; a rapid execution engine that provides higher execution throughput and reduced latency of execution; 400 MHz bus that pushes data though the pipeline for lifelike video and 3D graphics; and streaming SIMD Extensions 2 (SSE2) that extends MMX and SSE technology.

FS-1000+

Kyocera Mita America Inc. has introduced the FS-1000+ to its line of ECOSYS printers. It offers a Power PC processor, 4 MB RAM expandable up to 132 MB., 600 x 600 dot per inch resolution, and produces 12 pages per minutes. It also offers a remote operational panel that provides users the ability to check the status of the FS-1000+ over parallel, serial or network connections with three dimensional graphics, the company says.

Xerox Corp. has introduced the network-ready Phaser 1235 color printer. It offers a 366 MHz image processor and single-pass technology that allows printing at 12 pages-per-minute (color) and 20 pages-per-minute (black and white), with 1200 d.p.i. resolution.

It also offers a 10/100 base T Ethernet, a five GB internal hard drive, Adobe Postscript 3 & PCL5C, and a sheet capacity of 1,690.
