EASY AS TOAST: Wesley Perkins, of Joplin, Mo.'s Great Barrier Reef Inc., debuted COOLTOAST software during the American Bar Association Law Practice Management section's ABA Techshow in Chicago last month. COOLTOAST is document management software designed for smaller firm environments, he says.

It is so easy to install and maintain that firms without in-house I.T. staff can use it, he says. The system allows a firm to store nearly any document from any application, and to share those documents with co-workers, says Perkins. Users can access documents remotely, over the Internet.

Built on Internet standards, the server will operate on a 133 MHz or higher Pentium-compatible CPU, and needs 100 MB of available disk space (document storage requirements will vary depending on the size and number of files stored.)
