Capsoft Debuts HotForms

This companion product converts forms to intelligent templates.

CAPSOFT Development Corp. of American Fork, Utah, has announced the release of HotForms, a companion product to its award-winning HotDocs software, that allows a lawyer to take an existing form and convert it into an intelligent template.

The company says that HotForms allows any lawyer who uses official forms on a routine basis to become significantly more productive in a short period by creating graphical, intelligent templates. HotForms includes two components, an Automator and a Filer, according to Capsoft. The Automator is a developer's tool designed to automate graphical electronic forms, while the Filer is an end-user application designed for easy, accurate filing and printing of custom forms.

HotForms is seamlessly integrated with HotDocs, the company adds, allowing HotForms and HotDocs templates to reside in the same library, share the same dialogs and use the same answer files.

New Timeslips Remote Gives Portability and Independence

FIRMS THAT use the popular Timeslips time-and-billing software, or lawyers who don't need the entire Timeslips suite but need a tool to track time, have a new product available to them that makes billing and expense reporting portable.

According to the Timeslips Corp. of Dallas, Timeslips Deluxe 7 Remote is a standalone version of the TSTimer portion of Timeslips that allows lawyers to collect and edit time and expense information. With the software loaded onto a notebook or laptop computer, attorneys can independently create time and expense slips and then make them available to the central billing computer on disk or via modem, serial link or network connection.

The software is also suitable for lawyers who don't need the entire Timeslips program, but do need to track their time, the company says.
