PERCON, Inc. has introduced a Macintosh version of the Bar Code EasyWand. The product is prepackaged with everything needed to begin scanning barcode: a steel wand, decoding software on a 3.5-inch disk, a user's manual, and a wand holder.
The steel wand connects directly to a Macintosh or Powerbook's ADB port. As a Terminate Stay resident device, the Bar Code EasyWand runs in the background, activated when the user scans in a bar code, the Eugene, Ore., company reports.
