LAW FIRMS looking for a tool that will allow network users to send and receive faxes without a dedicated file server for faxing have a new software option in FaxNLM from Castelle, Inc., of Las Vegas.
The new software product allows complete independence from front-end operating systems, application software, and fax hardware, according to the company. FaxPress NLM supports ISDN boards, fax/modems and intelligent fax boards.
Designed for smaller networks of two to 50 users, the software can support large networks as well, the company adds.
In addition to ISDN support, the software offers the following features: (1) expandability of up to 250 lines per server and up to 32 servers per LAN; (2) distributed modem locations, which means that modems do not have to be placed on the main file server; (3) Novell SFTIII remote NLM support.
