New HorizonFAX System Supports High-Speed Scans

HORIZONFAX, a fax system that is said to support production volumes with a base scanning speed of 40 pages per minute, has been unveiled by NuParadigm Imaging, Inc., of Charlotte, N.C.

The unit's high-volume fax transmissions are provided by the system's scalable parallel fax architecture, which supports four to 1,000 fax lines, according to NuParadigm. The system's ability to store temporarily up to 24,000 pages enable it to manage massive fax queues.

Documents can be sent at preset times to one or more recipients, and fax priority can be set by the user or by fax job, the company adds. Because the system is network capable, documents and job files can come from or be sent to other workstations on the network. Document input can be accelerated by adding input workstations, according to NuParadigm.
