KONICA Business Machines U.S.A., Inc. has introduced the KN-101 Network Interface Card that enables its 7728 Laser Color Copier/Printer to function as a black-and-white or color printer on a network for multiple users.
The optional card, when installed in Konica's IP Image Processor, enables users of the 7728 to print in black and white at 20 pages per minute or in color at 6.5 pages per minute.
The card supports up to 16 file servers, from which it can handle up to 40 combined total print queues. It also supports TCP/IP, Ethernet 802.3, Ethernet 2, Ethernet 802.2, Ethernet SNAP, OS/2 Lanmanager/LANserver and EtherTalk (Appletalk) protocols, working with a variety of NetWare, UNIX and OS/2 operating systems.
