WESTLAW Adds 6 Environmental Files

WEST PUBLISHING of Eagan, Minn., has announced the debut of six new databases covering environmental law and a seventh database dealing with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy:

The Environmental Data Resources RCRA Corrective Action Records database (EDR-CORRACTS) provides access to more than 6,000 records covering sites where a Corrective Action was issued under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The database is available on the service through an agreement between West and Environmental Data Resources, Inc. The records were updated by the Environmental Protection Agency on July 1, 1994, and EDR regularly contacts the EPA to keep the records current, West reports.

The Federal Environmental Law-OSWER Directives database (FENV-OSWER) contains directives covering policy, practices, procedures and opinions on the implementation and interpretation of environmental rules. Full coverage of OSWER abstracts in the Hazardous Waste Superfund Collection are also included in the database.

The JFK Assassination Review Board Transcripts & Documents database includes previously sealed government records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The documents, released by the Assassination Records Review Board after approval by President Clinton. Selected documents, such as the Warren Commission report, transcripts of hearings held by the ARRB and explanatory notes of the newly declassified information will be added to the database subsequent to availability from the National Archives.
