COMMTOUCH Software of San Mateo, Calif., has launched two new Pronto tools for lawyers who may work at remote environments and require access to e-mail
services:
Pronto Secure (above) is secure e-mail software that allows both stationary and mobile lawyers to encrypt their messages for secure transport across the Internet. The product provides a plugable security architecture for managing a variety of encryption methods, such as POTP, PGP, PEM, S/MIME and MOSS, CommTouch reports.
Pronto Secure, the company adds, offers a full set of security functions, including multi-level password protection, automated key exchange and signature authentication.
The software is said to automatically activate security functions, such as key exchanges, and makes them fully transparent to users.

Pronto Mobile (below) is designed for lawyers who receive large volumes of e-mail while working at remote locations and allows them to quickly screen and prioritize their electronic correspondence.
The software's mail synchronization feature, the company reports, permits Pronto Mobile users to work from PCs in their office, home and remote environments, and keeps mail current on all three.
The software screens and process all received e-mail, and allows lawyers to glimpse incoming mail headers instead of downloading the entire message. When working from remote locations, lawyers can select those messages they wish to receive and in what order, delete junk mail, and postpone the transmission of less important messages, CommTouch explains. The software also offers a filtering process that screens incoming e-mail according to predetermined criteria, including size, date, sender, subject heading and priority field.
