FARALLON Computing, Inc., has unveiled Timbuktu Pro for Networks, Windows Edition 1.1, that it describes as the first Windows 95 integrated solution for true network remote access.
The remote control software uses the remote node functionality built into Windows 95, and takes advantage of the PPP remote node capabilities included in Windows 95 by automatically integrating the Windows 95 dial-up client in a one-step installation, the company reports.
For Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.1, Timbuktu Pro includes its own integrated remote note client based on
ShivaPPP technology, according to Farallon.
