Time Matters 2.0 Adds Features, Functions

The latest version of the popular software expands its utility for legal professionals.DATA.TXT Corp. of Coral Gables, Fla., has announced the release of Time Matters for Windows 2.0, a multi-threaded 32-bit version of its popular law office calendar, contact, case and document management software for PCs and law firm networks.

Time Matters 2.0 adds laptop and multiple office synchronization to the software, according to DATA.TXT, as well as long file name support. Direct links to Capsoft's HotDocs legal forms software, U.S. Robotics Pilot handheld computer, Visioneer's PaperPort Deluxe scanning software and the TABS III billing system (which joins the software's widely used link to Timeslips Deluxe) add versatility to Time Matters 2.0, the company reports.

The new version of Time Matters also adds phone messaging, improved document management with new multi-day and monthly views, the company says. A fully compatible 16-bit version for Windows 3.1 is included in the package, it adds.

GC Advantage Targets Sr. Corporate Counsel

LEXIS-NEXIS of Dayton, Ohio, has announced the release of LEXIS-NEXIS GC Advantage, a customized version of its online information retrieval service designed by general counsel specifically for the information needs of senior corporate counsel.

GC Advantage delivers targeted, comprehensive information in a manner that mirrors the daily activities of senior in-house attorneys, the company says. With the service, a senior corporate lawyer has point-and-click access to today's news, extensive background information on domestic and international companies, legal materials such as federal and state statutes, SEC filings and directories to identify and locate outside counsel and expert witnesses, according to LEXIS-NEXIS.
