SourceDocs Adds Muscle to Tax Research
CCH says that its new product provides tax professionals with one-stop shopping.
LEGAL professionals
looking for a one-stop source for answers to tax questions will be interested in CCH Federal SourceDocs and CCH
State SourceDocs from CCH Inc., which the company says contains the resources necessary to answer questions
quickly and inexpensively.
CCH reports that Federal SourceDocs contains the 1997 U.S. Master Tax Guide and a compendium of tax
resources--including the IRC, IRS regulations, notices, revenue rulings, procedures, announcements and U.S. Tax
Court cases since 1992, among others.
CCH State SourceDocs contains the tax laws and regulations for all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, the
company says. All state laws and regulations are updated monthly and organized by tax type, it adds, with a monthly
"What's New" section that hyperlinks reports of developments directly to the text contained on the discs.
Each database can be purchased separately or at a discount if both are purchased together, according to CCH, a
subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer U.S., headquartered in Riverwoods, Ill.

Ricoh's MP6200S Has Rewrite Capability
RICOH Corp.'s Disc Media & Systems Products Division has announced the release of what it says is a first in an
evolutionary line of dual-function ReWritable CD-Recorders: its 2X write/6X read MP6200S CD-R/CD-RW Recorder,
which uses both standard CD-R media and CD-ReWritable media that can be rerecorded up to 1,000 times.
According to Ricoh, the new drive is the first recorder on the market to have rewritable capability and a SCSI-2
interface. Recorded CD-RW media has both backward compatibility with multi-Read enabled CD-ROM drives and
forward compatibility with future DVD-ROM players, Ricoh adds.
