Integrated Litigation Solutions says its new imaging and presentation system automates document coding.

INTEGRATED Litigation Solutions Inc. of Oakland, Calif., has introduced ADVANTAGE, an imaging and presentation system that the company calls the first fully integrated document management and automated presentation system for the legal marketplace.

According to ILS, the system allows users to manage and control document images without hand-coding them, and to search the full-text of the content of documents entered onto the system with easy-to-use full-text, field and fuzzy logic search capabilities. Coding and other labor-intensive organizational work is automated, enabling substantive legal work to begin immediately after documents are entered into the ADVANTAGE system, ILS adds.

In addition, the company says, ADVANTAGE automatically treats areas of interest visually with high-impact, broadcast-style graphics and stores treated images for future reference and presentation. A full suite for tools allows a legal team to organize, annotate, manage, visually treat and present documents during discovery, pretrial preparation and in the courtroom, ILS reports.

Specom Releases Internet VideoPhone

SPECOM Technologies Corp. of Santa Clara, Calif., has announced the release of Internet VideoPhone for Windows 95, a 32-bit videoconferencing software application that the company says provides real-time audio communication and
full-color, live video over the Internet for the cost of a local call.

According to the company, the ability to see and talk to another party with Internet VideoPhone is made possible by incorporating Specom's enhanced VisionCodec software compression algorithm and the company's proprietary Multi-Channel Transmission Protocol in the program. The result, the company says, is a high-quality videoconferencing solution that is feature-rich and affordable.

Internet VideoPhone allows lawyers and other users to see and talk to anybody in the world over the Internet, Specom adds, with the only cost to the user being charges from the local phone company and Internet service provider.
