The upgrade simplifies document and tag searching; adds new rich text editing commands; offers new printing options within the report writer; and adds automatic date conversions for PDF file imports.

CrossEyes, from Levit & James Inc., reveals the document formatting codes in Microsoft Word.

Upon launch, it opens a window at the bottom of a Word document that shows each formatting element used, in-line with the text. It displays character formatting, paragraph formatting, section properties, and field codes, each in its own color.

Instant Quote Professional 2.0, from PC Experts, is a database-driven system for tracking quotes, proposals, and invoices.

Users can see a customer's quote history and can select an existing quote for editing or conversion into an invoice.

QUORUM, based in Minnea-polis, Mn., will release the new version of its Web-based infomration management system at this month's LegalTech San Francisco show. Reddoc II offers secure access to litigation-related document collections, for searching, reviewing, printing, editing and collaboration, it says. Reddoc II is hosted on Quorum's centeral server system, with broadband infrastructure for speed and accessibility.
