MagnaPlan Corp. has announced the release of a new electronic whiteboard conversion kit for Macintosh.
The device allows users to create computer images from standard whiteboards and, using standard dry ink pens.
The device exports data to either a Mac or IBM-compatible computer. The device can also be used with flip chart easels. It can create and share notes in real-time, by using either Microsoft NetMeeting or WebEx programs.

MacSpeech Inc. has introduced iListen PR3, its latest speech recognition program beta. The company says this will be the last preview release before the final version is ready for shipping. The program has been developed in partnership with Philips Speech Processing, using its FreeSpeech 2000 engine.

Macworld Expo: The annual Mac lovefest, Macworld Expo/San Francisco, will be held Jan. 9 to 12 in San Francisco. Randy Singer, in his MacAttorney Newsletter, notes that there will be a panel on "Macs in the Law Office," on Friday Jan. 12.
Members of the MacAttorney User Group are entitled to a 15 percent discount to attend the show, notes Singer. They also can attend the exhibit hall for free (normally $25.)
