Lexmark Launches Multifunction X820e
Lexmark International Inc. has introduced its X820e monochrome laser multifunction device.
The unit features a network printer foundation, a color touch-screen interface, and 45 page-per-minute output. It integrates into an firm's directory and allows users to securely fax or e-mail hardcopy documents to multiple destinations. It also features finishing capabilities such as stacking, electronic sorting, stapling, and hole punching.

Kyocera Digital Imaging
Kyocera Mita America Inc.'s KM-2530 and KM-3530 copiers output 25 and 35 pages-per-minute respectively, each with 1200 dpi resolution. Standard 10/100 BaseTX network cards allow networking for printing and scanning functions. Paper originals can be digitized, and e-mailed to multiple destinations, or placed directly into a PC folder. Both units handle letter, legal, ledger, transparencies, labels and 110-pound stock, and offer dual, user-adjustable 500 sheet paper drawers.

Lexmark International Inc. introduces:
The C750 and C910 laser printers offer monochrome and color printing, and provide toner saver modes. Both can be equipped with paper handling capabilities such as duplex, stapling, hole punching and offset stacking.
The C750 prints 20 pages-per-minute with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,200. The C910 supports 11 x 17-inch printing at 28 p-p-m using 2400 image quality.
The company also debuted its E320 and E322 monochrome laser printers output at 16 pages-per-minute.

Photo Printer
Canon U.S.A. Inc. says its new S820D color, bubble-jet photo printer produces 2400 x 1200 dpi, borderless prints from 4 x 6-inches, up to 8.5 x 11-inches.
Users can crop and custom size images with the LCD on their Canon PowerShot S30 and S40 digital cameras, for direct printing via USB cable, without a PC.
The printer also features a PCMCIA Type II memory card slot, and supports CompactFlash, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Secure Digital, and MicroDrive memory cards for PC-driven printing. Bundled with the unit are PhotoRecord, ZoomBrowser EX, and Photo-Stitch software for Windows systems, and ImageBrowser and PhotoStich software for Macintosh units.

Kyocera Pair
Kyocera Mita America Inc.'s FS-9100DN and FS-9500DN laser printers offer 1200 dpi output. Both machines handle letter, legal, ledger, cover stock, transparencies and labels, and provide dual 500 sheet drawers, a 200 sheet multipurpose tray, and an optional 3,000 sheet paper deck.
The FS-9100DN prints 36 pages-per-minute, with the first page out in seven seconds, and is rated for 180,000 pages each month.
The FS-9500DN unit prints 50 ppm, with the first page out in five seconds, and is rated for 250,000 pages each month.

Toshiba America Business Solutions has announced the introduction of its e-STUDIO40P monochrome laser printer. The 40 page-per-minute unit includes 32 MB standard RAM upgradable to 384 MB, and a 10/100Mbit network interface.

Samsung Electronics Company Ltd. announces:
The SyncMaster 151MP and 171MP flat-panel monitors offer computer display, built-in TV tuners, video inputs for use with peripherals such as DVD players, and support for HDTV. They provide picture-in- picture functions, and a 64X digital zoom for on-screen images.
The 15-inch SyncMaster 151MP has built-in stereo speakers and a pixel pitch of .297 mm. The 17-inch 171MP has a 170-degree viewing angle and a pixel pitch of .264 mm.
Both displays include swivel bases for switching between portrait and landscape viewing.
The SyncMaster 171S features a choice of aspect ratios (5:4 or 4:3).

Sanyo Security Products Division has released its DSR-3000 surveillance device, which provides 80 GB of digital recording space, expandable up to 260 GB.
It offers 60 fields-per-second high-speed recording and playback, and five picture-quality modes available in normal recording and alarm recording modes with up to 720 x 480 digital picture resolution.

Kofax's Adrenaline
Kofax Image Products Inc. has released three new Adrenaline scanner controllers that are certified for ISIS, TWAIN and ImageControls driver interfaces:
* The Adrenaline 450 is a Fast SCSI controller offering 10 Mbps throughput.
* The Adrenaline 650 is an Ultra Wide SCSI controller offering 40 Mbps throughput, and adding reliability to color and grayscale scanning.
*The Adrenaline 650i adds Kofax image processing, including enhanced bar code recognition. ImageControls toolkit users can also utilize the controller's color deskew, patch code recognition, black border removal, de-speckle, line removal and other image-enhancement filters, the company reports.
