NetCD 2000 Is Standalone Unit

Addonics Technologies Inc., of Fremont, Calif., says its NetCD 2000 is a compact, multi-protocol CD/DVD server that operates standalone, without a file server.

It mirrors CD images onto IDE hard drives, allowing network users to share CDs and DVDs, says Addonics.

Tandberg Data

Tandberg Data ASA has released its SLR100 tape drive, says the Oslo, Norway company. Imation Corp., of Oakdale, Minn., simultaneously introduced its Imation SLR100 tape cartridge, offering 100 GB of storage capacity per cartridge.

Overland Data Inc. reports that its VR2 Technology was licensed by both Tandberg and Imation, and is incorporated into the SLR100 drive. It also announced the release of its Overland SLR100 Autoloader.

OneWorld Systems

Small and medium-sized firms can use OneWorld OfficePort to handle Internet access, routing, remote access, fax and network modem pool needs, reports the Sunnyvale, Calif., company. The devices integrate analog and digital wide area communications, and are pre-configured with popular WAN and application choices.

Dell PowerEdge

Dell Computer Corp., of Round Rock, Texas, says its Dell PowerEdge 2400 Server offers Intel Pentium III processor technology, with 133 MHZ front side bus, redundant hot-swap power supplies, and embedded RAID technology. Dell also debuted its PowerVault Storage Area Network product line, and support for Compaq ProLiant servers within PowerVault SANs.

Procom NetFORCE

Procom Technology Inc., of Santa Ana, Calif., announced a marketing venture with InfoLibria, under which Procom will advocate InfoLibria's DynaCache and MediaMall caching servers and InfoLibria will promote Procom's NetFORCE unit.
