Westlaw researchers can now jump from footnote references in the text of law reviews, to the full text of the footnote, and then back again, using a new footnote linking enhancement, reports West Group, of Eagan, Minn.

Master Guide Plus
South-Western College Publishing, a division of Thomson Learning, has announced an alliance with CCH Inc. to provide its tax publication customers with CCH's U.S. Master Guide Plus, an Internet-based federal tax research database.
SWCP will offer the guide with most 2000/2001 editions of its tax products, including The West Federal Taxation Series, says CCH. It offers real-time access to statutory and regulatory documents, IRS issuances and Tax and federal court opinions, and more, it says.

Property Tax Guide
CCH also announced the publication of its CCH Multistate Property Tax Guide, available online and via CD-ROM. The guide offers coverage of property tax issues across all states, and has intuitive searching tools, it says.
Content includes detailed coverage of each state's property taxes, including analysis and full text of property tax laws, regulations, cases and administrative rulings and releases. It is updated monthly, advises CCH.

Income Tax Planner
BNA Software has released BNA Income Tax Planner with Fifty States, Version 99.2, reports the Washington, D.C. company. The software's new "client letter" feature allows attorneys to write a client letter while in the program, and link key figures form the client file to the letter.
The figures are then automatically updated in the client letter, whenever you make changes to the client file, explains BNA. Using the client letter, lawyers can create letterhead, format a template letter for use with multiple client files, and more.
