Legal Anywhere, Inc., of Tualatin, Ore., will help launch an enterprise-wide Intranet/Extranet for Bell Atlantic's legal department. Under the agreement, Bell Atlantic will use Legal Anywhere's Collaborator platform totransfer documents in-house and with outside counsel. The program also will provide a repository for frequently used documents, the company says.

ZixIt Corp. has signed up three Texas firms to use its ZixMail mesaging system. Vial, Hamilton, Koch and Knox, L.L.P; Smith, Underwood & Perkins, P.C, and Jenkins & Gilchrist, P.C. will use the service, which is currently in beta testing release. ZixMail allows people to send and receive encrypted, digitally signed e-mail, reports the company, based in Dallas, Texas. It also announced that it has obtained approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce for international use of the product.
