AMERICAN Lawyer Media Inc. has more exciting news on the United Kingdom front: We've just acquired two leading regional legal trade shows from Nationwide Exhibitions (UK) Ltd.

"Solicitors, the National Legal Office and Legal Services Exhibition," and the "National Accountancy Exhibition" have been added to our LegalTech Division, which currently produces seven annual events in North America. LegalTech also co-produces, with Imark Communications, an annual London LegalTech show.

Within the U.K. and Europe, regulations allow lawyers and accountants to practice together in multidisciplinary firms. As a result, accounting firms are among the largest legal employers in these regions. The shows, held in Birmingham at the National Exhibition Centre, drew almost 6,000 attendees and more than 200 exhibitors last year.

The new additions help broaden our involvement in the global legal community. The next "Solicitors" exhibition is scheduled for March 13-15; the accountancy event will take place May 15-17. Hope to see you there!
