Mail Essentials for Microsoft Exchange 200, from GFI, provides Exchange 2000 server protection against viruses and attacks in e-mail and attachments. It automatically scans and removes Word macros and HTML scripts, and can block e-mails and attachments that contain VB Script, Windows Scripting, and Java Scripts. It offers e-mail reports, archiving, server-based PGP encryption, an anti-spam module, POP3 downloader, and server-based auto replies, the company says.

Iambic Mail is a direct e-mail application for Palm operating system devices, reports San Jose's iambic Software. When coupled with wireless connectivity (such as a Palm modem or OmniSky service), users can create, send and receive e-mail using handheld devices.

ZixIt Corp., and Hummingbird Ltd., have formed an alliance to offer ZixMail and SecureDelivery within the Hummingbird Enterprise Information Portal. The secure messaging services enable Hummingbird users to send encrypted and/or digitally signed e-mail communications.
