FileFlow, from IMDY Advanced Technologies Inc., helps users of FileSurf electronic record management system automate client/matter intake and conflict management processes.

It helps organizations (particularly service firms) automate addition of new clients/matters, and performing a comprehensive conflict-of-interest search a range of databases.

Paper Killer, from Visual Vision, is a Windows-based application that helps users create HTML hypertext documents or e-books. Driven by its own internal full-text search engine, the application enables the user to convert word processor documents into electronic format, and to save, load, search/replace, and find objects on multiple pages all at once, the company says.

RasterVect 3.0 helps users convert uneditable scanned paper drawings into accurate vector files for editing in any CAD program, according to RasterVect Software. It includes: TWAIN support for importing from any scanners; the ability to automatically recognize orthogonal and inclined lines as well as arches and circles; and the ability to maintain the scale of the initial paper drawing

It supports multi-threading, and can download more than one program at a time. It monitors user clipboards for file URLs, and accepts drag-and-drop filenames. New features include: a category tree; an increased number of toolbar options for easier navigation, HTTPS protocol support, improved FTP support, and improved Internet Explorer context menu support for easier downloads.

WordDog, from Plain English Technologies, is a document editing program that retrieves ambiguous words, redundancies, overworked expressions from the user's documents, then suggests short, clear alternatives. It was designed for editing business letters, student assignments, legal documents, reports, manuals, and speeches.

SurfSecret 3.2, by SurfSecret Software, is a privacy utility that removes all traces of the user's visit. It periodically removes browser created cache files or any other related stored information on the user's hard drive, eliminating security risks posed by chat activity, downloaded files, and cookies.

PDF-Manager, from IntelliDoc of Denmark, helps users create and distribute Adobe PDF files. It includes a suite of tools which include: PDF settings; check and compare; HTML-to-PDF conversion; PDF-Link; rotate pages and delete pages.

XlineSoft has released DB-HTML Express 1, a Windows based application that converts all major databases to HTML documents. It converts database files to static HTML, without the use of an additional editor. It was designed to support standard databases, such as SQL and Oracle, as well as any ODBC databases, the company claims.

Click to Convert 2.5, from Binary Research International Inc., is an upgraded Windows-based application that converts existing documents to HTML files. The converted document can then be shared easily or posted to an intranet or the Internet without worrying about file compatibility. Click to Convert 2.5 acts a print driver within the Window 95/98/2000/NY/ME operating systems, the company say. Upgraded features include PowerPoint support on all platforms; drag-and-drop printing of MS Office files; font mapping; and a cropping option.
