Workflow Management Tool
Bowne Debuts iTrack System
BOWNE Business Solutions says its new Web-based iTrack production tool is now incorporated into the operation of its on-site document production centers.
Bowne, which recently signed outsourcing agreements with 10 major law firms, provides
services such as graphic design and production; desktop publishing and word processing; imaging; electronic distribution; and more, says the company, based in New York.
The iTrack system can be used both as a workflow management tool and as a means to monitor costs, says Bowne. It also can generate financial reports that can be downloaded into firms' financial systems, it says.

Equitrac Upgrades Cost Control System
EQUITRAC Corp. has announced the release of its System 4, version 3.0 Windows NT-based cost recovery and resource management server.
The upgraded System 4 collects, stores and monitors transaction data from applications such as copy machines, fax machines, telephone systems, network printing and miscellaneous distributions control, says the company, based in Coral Gables, Fla.
The revised system includes a number of major enhancements, advises Equitrac. System usability has been improved with new user interface that adds more wizards, a single module for system administration and a new report designer, notes the company. A new budgeting feature was added to help firms track budgeted expenses on a per-client basis, it says. The program uses a database that is ODBC and SQL compliant, it says.
