EasySoft Now In ASP Version

Personable.com, of Fountain Valley, Calif., has announced the addition of four modules of EasySoft Inc.'s nationwide legal software to its ASP (application service provider) menu.

Subscribers can now access Easy-HUD RESPA, Easy-Trust, Easy Amortization and Case Information Statement.

These programs are designed to help legal professionals navigate through financial and legal forms, says the company. Easy-HUD RESPA offers onscreen presentation of HUD 1-A forms; Easy-Trust offers up to five separate legal trust bank accounts, with check printing, report summaries and generation and bank statement reconciliation.

The amortization module helps calculate and print a variety of loan amortization schedules, including balloon loans, interest only, and full or year-end schedules.

The C.I.S. module helps attorneys wok out custody and visitation in divorce cases.

Corel Goes Online

Corel Corp. has signed a licensing agreement with C Me Run Corp., which produces an ASP engine that will be used to make several Corel products available for use over the Internet -- including WordPerfect Office 2000 and CorelDRAW 9 Office Edition, as well as Print Office 2000, Custom Photo, Print House Magic and clip art services.

eAttorney Suite

Atlanta's eAttorney has introduced its ASP Suite of automated applications, services, and e-commerce systems for attorneys and law students. The eAttorney.com desktop can integrate and organize information by client, contact or matter, reports the company.

Tools include calendaring; e-mail; contact management; time-and-billing; document management; conflict check; electronic bill presentation; and more.

ASPORA

ASPORA, based in New York, has launched an ASP aimed at law firms and corporate law departments. The company plans to offer "high-end applications and services," and announced a partnership with Ringtail Solutions, to provide litigation support and knowledge management software over the Internet.

Insurance

Certificate Management Solutions, of Chicago, has introduced its ASP system. The ASP houses the software and most of the hardware for tracking certificates of insurance, the company notes.

The new ASP program is offered as an alternative to the company's outsourcing program. Both services help monitor certifies with multiple carriers, policy numbers, expiration dates, endorsements and other details.

Document Management

American Document Management, an ASP based in Newark, Del., will use Minolta Information Systems' Internet-based document management system, Doc-X WebServ. The partnership will allow legal professionals to transmit briefs, charts, maps, photos and other documents from anywhere in the world.

ADM offers the legal community a secure "file room" on the Internet, that can be accessed from any computer. In the ASP model, users "rent" access to the retrieval system in ADM's electronic file room. The Doc-X WebServ can deliver document images on a local or wide area network, Intranet, Extranet or the Web.

MyCIO.com

MyCIO.com is an "infrastructure application service provider" that fights Internet-related security problems, says the company, based in Santa Clara, Calif. An affiliate of Network Associates Inc., it is offering VPN ASaP, a line of managed security services designed to deliver fast, simple, virtual private network connections for firms conducting business on the Web. It protects firms from malicious attacks and hacker attempts, says MyCIO.com.The company also offers WebShield ASaP, to provide Internet gateway protection against viruses.
