Apple Computer Corp. has announced that its popular iMac computer is now available in a Spanish version.

Apple also is making available Spanish-speaking sales representatives at 1-800-MY-APPLE, who will walk users through the buying process. The Spanish iMac includes the same features as its U.S. cousin, and includes Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express; Netscape Communi-cator; AppleWorks; Palm Desktop; FAXstf; Kid Pix Studio Deluxe; Bugdom and Nansaur. DV models include iMovie software.

Apple Legal Goes Live

Fritz Ogden, Apple's czar of the small business/legal arena, has announced that the long-anticipated legal page on Apple's Web site is now up and running.

LTN board member Ed Siebel Jr. contributed to the site, which also includes links to Law Technology News (Thank you, Fritz and Ed!), as well as to the fiesty, energetic MacLaw listserv.

The Web site also offers a "Help Desk," and "Tools" section (with articles on technology choices for law offices); "Testimonials."

An "Editorials" section even features an article called "An e-Filing Phenomenon" by the aforementioned Mr. Siebel. Apple - Small Business - Legal.

FireWire RAID

LaCie has introduced its new FireWire RAID storage system, says the Hillsboro, Ore., company. The system offers the features and security of a high performance RAID to users of FireWire or 1394-equipped Apple Macintosh computers, as well as a flexible means to share videos, Web content and multimedia presentations, it says.Available with two or more LaCie 75 GB FireWire hard drives, the package includes Silverlining Pro 6.3 software, with RAID 0 striping capabilities, says LaCie. Combined, they offer a turnkey system to create high-volume RAID arrays, with up to 30 MB/second throughput on Apple G4 desktop systems, it says.

MacLinkPlus Deluxe

MacLinkPlus Deluxe, from DataViz, helps Mac users open Windows files, including word processing, spreadsheet, graphic and database formats.

Aladdin Systems Inc. has introduced Spring Cleaning 3.5 to helps Mac users clean and organize hard drives. The company suggests that it be used with iClean, a program that quickly removes "cookies."
