Herron Named Juris Sales VP
Lee Ann Herron has been promoted to vice president of sales for Juris Inc. She is now responsible for all sales activity at Juris' National Sales Center in Brentwood, Tenn., as well as 15 other locations. Herron has been with Juris for 18 years. Juris recently opened sales offices in Boston and New York, the company notes. The company offers law office business software.
Chicago-based Winston & Strawn has added a new partner, Christopher K. Aidun, to help expand its "new economy" practice. Aidun, based in the firm's New York office, is joining the firm's corporate department, and will represent Internet, broadband, and other technology companies. He will focus on established Fortune 500 companies that seek to expand Internet presence, through joint ventures with "new economy" companies, direct investment, or other strategic alliances.
Neal W. Cox III has been named as the new marketing manager for LPM Publishing, the book publishing arm of the American Bar Association's Law Practice Management. Cox previously worked at the National Safety Council as publications marketing manager.
Lawex Corp. has named Matthew J. Lafata to act as its lead consultant on its business development activities, which will be focused on increasing sales, new product development, brand awareness, and entry into new distribution and marketing channels. Lafata is also president and CEO of Time and Profit Corp., and was executive vice president of Sage U.S. Time Billing Products. Lawex produces TrialWorks case management software.
Examen Inc. has promoted Jon Roberts to vice president of strategic alliances and product management. Dan Ruderman has been named vice president of sales and business development, and Bill Schlegel has joined the board of directors, the Sacramento company has announced. Roberts served as vice president of systems engineering, after working for Lockheed Missiles and Space. Ruderman was Examen's vice president of the northeast region. Schlegl is the CEO of MarketTools, and previously served as CEO of Escan, Inc.
The Technology Group, based in Baltimore, Md., has signed Baird Brown as editor-in-chief of the newly formed Elder Law practice area of LawOnTheWeb.com. Brown has his own law practice in Grand J unction, Colo.
Seattle's Vitessa Corp. has appointed Ken McGraw to the newly-created post of senior vice president, corporate development and legal affairs, general counsel and secretary.
He will be responsible for negotiating strategic partnerships and alliances, and will oversee the company's corporate and legal affairs.
Christie Resha has been named manager of library and e-commerce interfacing for EBSCO Subscription Services. The company is based in Birmingham, Ala.
Ann Wyatt Browne has been named industry marketing director of the professional services business unit for St. Paul, Minn.-based Lawson Software. Browne, a 20-year software industry veteran, served most recently as vice president of industry marketing for Atlanta's Ross Systems Inc.
