Aelita Software ERDisk 5.0
Aelita Software, of Powell, Ohio, has introduced ERDisk 5.0, the latest edition of its emergency protection and disaster recovery tool for Windows networks. The automated, remote Emergency Repair Disk increases administrative control over repair data update and emergency disk creation for Windows NT and Windows 2000 systems, it says. It enhances the basic capability of Windows 2000/NT by automating emergency disk creation, expanding the choice of media to which the files can be saved, removing the limit on the size of ERD files that can be created, and offering a range of recovery options to the administrator.

EventAdmin 4.0
Aelita also announced the release of EventAdmin 4.0, which streamlines event management and security auditing for Windows 2000/NT networks through event log collection, warehousing and analysis. It builds on the capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, and offers 120 customizable reports.

Multi-Remote Registry
Eytcheson Software has unveiled Multi-Remote Registry Change 3.5, an upgrade of its tool for remotely managing the registry on multiple Windows 2000/NT computers. It offers support for adding, changing and deleting every key and value type, as well as controlling security and auditing, says the Independence, Ks., company.

NetOp Remote Control
CrossTec Corp. has debuted the latest version of Danware Data's NetOp Remote Control 6.5, which adds full support for Windows 2000, in addition to support for Windows 3.1/95/98/NT, DOS and OS/2.
It adds integration with Windows security management, as well as a new two-tier push technology for easier software installation. It also offers additional remote connectivity options and a "marker mode" that lets users "draw" on a remote PC to highlight items or for training.

The Office 2000 Service Release 1a update is now available on the Office Update Web site, http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/2000.
