Spotlight: Upgrades

Opticon 2.1: Los Angeles' Dataflight Software has introduced Opticon 2.1, the latest update to its image management system. The upgrade includes easy, one-step image sharing with Sanction II (from Verdict Systems L.L.C.), as well as advanced technology to improve image quality, the company reports.

The integration between Opticon and Sanction accelerates the transfer of images from program to program, decreasing the time it takes to prepare trial exhibits.

ProVantage Software Inc. says the latest upgrade of its namesake time-and-billing/financial management software helps firms configure "firm time" and "cost entry" screens to reflect their data entry requirements and preferences. Users of ProVantage 6.0 can choose which fields to include, and customize placement, order, and size. Fields can be excluded, and field labels can be modified, it says.

However, the "Entry Designer" allows administrators to enforce firm rules by prohibiting changes that would violate those rules.
