San Francisco-based Plumtree Software Inc. has announced that Nixon Peabody LLP has purchased its Plumtree Corporate Portal to share information among the firm's 1200 employees and 11 offices.

Nixon Peabody's portal will track news and information on the Web; organizes work product; and provides docket, billing and other management information.

Ford & Harrison LLP, a 120-lawyer labor and employment firm, has chosen MeltingPoint Inc.'s namesake software for its business intelligence, marketing and Intranet system. MeltingPoint allows users to create relationships between information in CMS OPEN, PC DOCS, Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, e-mail, calendar programs, the Internet and LEXIS, without altering existing systems or information.
