PLI Introduces Accounting Guide
Practicing Law Institute has released a new multimedia sills training program, Accounting for Lawyers II, by Terry Lloyd. The latest release in its The Interactive Court-room series, the set helps attorneys analyze financial reports and spot "red flags" in complicated financial data, says PLI.
The CD-ROM program is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh, and includes a 592-page course handout.
Lloyd is a partner in the San Francisco office of BDO Seidman LLP, and specializes in valuation and forensic accounting.

LEXIS Publishing has added the Matthew Bender Medical Expediter to its Authority Personal Injury Law Library CD-ROM. The electronic legal research tool allows practitioners to pinpoint relevant medical information about injuries, disorders and diseases of the human body, and diagnostic tests that help determine prognoses. It also includes the AMA Evaluation of Permanent Impairment.

Perform Plus II
Subscribers to CCH, Inc.'s online Tax Research Network can now download forms with perform plus II interactive forms software. The program offers 24/7 availability of interactive forms for federal and state taxes, and other materials, says CCH, of Riverwoods, Ill.

One Disc
Tax Analysts, of Arlington, Va., says its OneDisc CD-ROM provides federal tax practitioners with plain-English explanations of tax laws, code sections, and document summaries.
The CD also offers full texts of revenue rulings and procedures, the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, IRS publications and other essential documents, reports the company.
Tax Analysts also has released Commentary & Analysis, an interactive CD-ROM. By clicking on a line in the Form 1040 (including Schedules A through E), practitioners are linked directly to expert explanations.

Text and drawings for patents and trademarks are now available on lexis.com, reports LEXIS Publishing. About 10 million U.S. patents and trademarks can be viewed, printed and downloaded, it says. The site also includes 4.4 million patent abstracts from Japan; 2.2 million full-text European patents; and 2.1 million state and federal trademarks.
