Tax Analysts has published The Tax Directory on the Web at http://taxdirectory.tax.org. It provides information on more than 60,000 private sector tax practitioners and firms. Users can search according to tax specialty, location, and other criteria to find the exact tax practitioner they need. Those listed in the directory can chose to have a basic, expanded, or deluxe profile.

Westlaw's Blue Sky

The complete CCH Securities Library has been added to the Westlaw database. The CCH materials include the Federal Securities Reporter (court decisions, laws, rules, and regulations affecting the securities industry); the Commodity Futures Law Reporter (explanations of the operations of the futures market and how they are regulated); and Blue Sky Law Reporter (securities service for all 50 states, D.C., Guam and Puerto Rico).

Corpedia L.L.C. has released a new training course, Antitrust -- Avoiding Anti-Competitive Practices. The interactive, Web-based training program discusses the anti-competitive business practices that lead to the rationale behind the creation of antitrust laws and how the government enforces these laws. It covers the Sherman Antitrust Act, the Clayton Act, the Robinson-Patman Act, and the Federal Trade Commission Act, as well as price fixing, bid rigging, and predatory pricing discrimination.

Federal Guide

America's Community Bankers has redesigned its Federal Guide on CD-ROM, giving the update a Web-page appearance. A companion to the print version, it provides legal and regulatory banking information. Subscribers receive an updated CD each month, which includes all major compliance manual, forms and guides from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., the Office of Thrift Supervision and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

The Appraisal Foundation has published the new edition of the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice course. It includes an instructors' manual, student manual, case studies, more than 300 transparencies, and examinations. The transparencies are indexed and can be searched.

Exl-Plan Super

PlanWare, of Dublin, Ireland, has released Exl-Plan Super, an Excel-based financial planner for large businesses. It generates financial forecasts for business plans, strategy development, budgets, raising finance and appraisals. Exl-Plan Super is available with either U.S. or European accounting formats.

Corporate Focus 3.0

Two-Step Software has released Corporate Focus 3.0, an upgrade to its stockholder tracking system designed for corporate attorneys. It features more user-defined fields to allow law firms to create reports designed specifically for their needs. Corporate Focus is a database program used by corporate law firms to track clients' entity and ownership information. It manages general corporate and stockholder information from the charter, by-laws, minute books and stock records; tracks critical dates; and prints standard reports, such as company summary sheets, stock ledgers and stockholder reports.

Bowne & Co.
