Editor's Note
TORONTO is next on the itinerary for LegalTech, and we're looking forward to visiting with our Canadian colleagues early this month. Watch for reports in the next issue of LTN, and check out the preview in this issue, on pages 82-83.
Security remains a hot-button topic in legal technology, and thus is a subject we revisit frequently in these pages. Inspired by panels at this fall's State Bar of California sessions, we offer articles by the outgoing chair (Albert Barsocchini) and the vice-chair (David M.M. Bell) of that bar's Law Technology & Practice Management section; as well as a report on the security ramifications of the new Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act. Of course, that's not all. We also bring you news of new products and services; and reports on voice recognition and Extranets.
As always, we welcome your press releases and comments at lawtech@amlaw.com.
Cordially,
Monica Bay Editor-in-Chief
