LibraryHQ.com includes iBistro

LibraryHQ.com, an information portal for library professionals, has announced that its Site Source feature has been included in SIRSI Corp.'s iBistro product.

Site Source is an online searchable database of MARC-format cataloged Web sites, and contains more than 12,000 records. SIRSI's iBistro was designed to help library users personalize Web searches and increase information available via the Internet. IBistro also enables library catalog users to view book reviews, table of contents, jacket images, synopses, annotations, and author notes.

IBistro also includes a personalization package, called MyBistro, which features individual preference profiles so users can set their own searching and interest preferences, receive customized lists of new titles, review their accounts, place holds, and renew materials.

Unicorn System

The Maryland Department of Legislative Services and the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau have selected SIRSI Corp.'s Unicorn Library Management System for their libraries.

According to the librarians at both sites, Unicorn will enable the libraries to make their collections and services accessible to legislators and staff through SIRSI's Web-based online catalog, WebCat.
