Web Portal: West Group has updated lawschool.westlaw.com, a Web portal for the academic legal community.
It incorporates The West Education Network, helping professors and students interact, publish materials and link to Web content on Westlaw. Users can access research tips and tools, as well as content from L Magazine, industry, career and lifestyle information with links to related content on Westlaw. (American Lawyer Media Inc. publishes L Magazine.)

Joint Project: West Group and National Practice Institute report that the University of Minnesota Law School has joined the network of CLE producers offering course online through West LegalEdcenter. Legal professionals can access streaming video of live and archived programs presented by the school's faculty. Users can access citations within supporting materials that are linked directly to documents on Westlaw, and track their progress toward MCLE requirements.

Study Aid: The Sum and Substance audio study aid line has been expanded to include compact discs for selected titles, in addition to the currently available cassette format. The Berring legal research title has also been added to the series, which now offers more than 40 titles.

Lecture Series: The Innocence Network and Sam Guiberson have produced a lecture series, Wrongful Convictions: Causes and Remedies. Intended for defense lawyers, prosecutors, police, private investigators and journalists, it is the first educational program being offered at www.TrialTactics.com, a Web site devoted exclusively to educational programming about current issues in American courts.
