Gateway Inc. has announced that legal professionals can now order Gateway desktop and notebook PCs delivered with Gavel and Gown Inc.'s Amicus Attorney case management software, and/or Sage U.S. Holdings Inc.'s Timeslips time and billing software.

Amicus Attorney helps lawyers manage their calendars, contacts, client files, e-mail, phone calls and more.

Timeslips helps lawyers enter and track their time and expenses, create invoices, and prepare up-to-the-minute accounts receivable reports. Gateway combines this bundling with personalized services and local support through its U.S. stores.

Interface Software and AvantGo Inc. have aligned to jointly develop enhanced mobile access to Interface Software's professional services client relationship management product, Interaction. The companies are building a mobile relationship intelligence channel which will allow wireless device users to synchronize, wirelessly or offline through a desktop PC.

Orinda, Calif.-based Dantz Development Corp. has announced that Compaq Computer Corp. will bundle DDC's Retrospect Express Backup software with Compaq business computers and workstations equipped with an optional CD-RW or VXA tape drive. The backup and restoration software performs verifications to confirm successful backups. Retrospect's disaster recovery feature can implement full system restorations.
