ThinkDOCS Word Processing

ThinkDOCS works with a user's word processing program to automatically fill in an update repetitive information in documents, says DataTech Software Inc. For law offices that specialize in real estate law, thinkDOCS automatically integrates with HUD-1 settlement sheets, the company says. A thinkDOCS office needs to enter case and client data only once. That data is entered into related contracts, documents, deeds, mortgages, notes, proposals, bids, letters and other required paperwork. Information that is changed in one document can automatically change in all.

FileSurf 7.0

MDY Advanced Technologies Inc. has announced that its FileSurf 7.0 is now compatible with Microsoft Outlook. The FileSurf knowledge management software helps organizations to track, manage and apply a consistent retention schedule to all active and inactive information, regardless of whether the information is in e-mail, electronic files or physical files, the company says.

FileSurf's integration with Outlook supports the capture and import of e-mail messages and its associated attachments. Tracking incoming e-mail messages can be done by dragging and dropping messages to the desired FileSurf folder listed in the Outlook Folder list. FileSurf collects required information and automatically populates the appropriate fields in the electronic e-mail profile template. It manages outgoing e-mail by providing the user with the capability to file the message immediately after it is send or later from the Sent Items folder.
