ViaVoice Available For New Mac OS X

ViaVoice Available For New Mac OS X ViaVoice for Macintosh OS X, from IBM Voice Systems, lets users dictate into supported applications, surf the Internet, and navigate Mac OS X with the sound of their voice. The upgrade includes a new Command Center, redesigned Voice Center, SpeakPad and Preferences. Its U.S. vocabulary is more than double previous versions, and users can listen to e-mail and other text documents read aloud by their computers.

Power On Software Inc.: Now Up-to-Date & Contact 4.0.2, a contact manager and scheduling program, fixes a problem that can occur when printing template lists. It improves support for Microsoft Outlook Express, Entourage, and Outlook, with revamped e-mail preferences, conversion of files, and simplified setup for connection to servers.

Rewind 1.2 monitors changes in files and the operating system during regular use, and helps users take ailing computers back to the state at which they last worked properly.

On Guard 3.3.5 is cross-platform security and computer access management software that customizes a single computer for multiple users. It limits users' access to control panels, and improves export functions and Microsoft Outlook Express 5.x compatibility.

Aladdin Systems: Spring Cleaning 4.0 "uninstall" software is now compatible with Mac OS X. The latest version helps users find and remove unwanted e-mail attachments and cookies, search seldom-used files by last access date, and compare differences between duplicate files.

Tenon Intersystems: ITools 6.1 for Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server 10.0 includes an Aqua graphical user interface that coexists with Tenon's secure, remote, browser-based administration.

The Web server tool suite incorporates open source protocol implementations of Apache, DNS, FTP and sendmail.

Xtools 1.0.4, an X Window Server for Mac OS X, lets remote users display graphical applications on the Aqua desktop. The update also supports eight-bit applications.
